A question is more like it. I heard somewhere that Wes got the idea for 'A nightmare on elmstreet' from an artical about people dying in their sleep. Anyone have any info about this?

mercury3m, what you heard about Wes getting the idea for the movie, is true, he also named fred kruger after a bully in school and got the looks of freddy from a hobbo who hung around his neighborhood as a child... very interesting... i think:)

Wes is a good writer but this screenplay blows, infact this movie itself blows. I can't even sit through this without falling asleep.

Haha hobbit, hope you don't see freddy when you fall asleep during the movie. Actually I liked this movie because it was such an original concept. The sequels sucked, but this original movie was quite good.

I agree, the concept of this movie is great. In after the 3rd one, it lost it's "horror" to it. Then it became more comedy, but I liked it for it's comedy.

I LIKE THE MOVIE PART 1 ALL THE OTHERS GOT REALLY DELUTED ON THE HORROR END AND ENDED UP BEING A LOAD OF CRAP. iD LIKE WES TO MAKE A NEW VERSION AND REALLY HORROR IT UP LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS.
