2024 TV Pilot Contest Final Deadline - June 28THIS OUR TV PILOT SCREENPLAY CONTEST RIGHT FOR YOU?Have you written a TV Pilot that you believe has the potential to make for a great show or do you want to use it as a sample to help you get staffed? Are you struggling to get your script read by someone in the industry? Are you thinking of moving on to the next project, or maybe even giving up?
WAIT! At Shore Scripts, it’s all about how strong your work is, not how well you can network. So, don’t worry if you don’t know anyone. We have over 300 agents, managers, production companies, producers, and directors on our roster who have all agreed to read the best scripts we send to them in 2024. If your TV Pilot Contest submission stands out, we’ll get it to the best people working in the industry.
WHY HAS THE INDUSTRY ROSTER COME ON BOARD?- Because we have a track record of finding the best new screenwriting talent out there. That’s why we’ve had over 100 success stories to date.
- The industry wants to work with new talent, it’s a misconception that they don’t. They just don’t want to read thousands of screenplays to find people. That’s where we come in! They read what we send them because they know the caliber of the material and writers that we connect them with.
HOW DO WE DEVELOP OUR WRITERS?- Unlike most other contests, Shore Scripts has a dedicated Writer Development Manager who works with all our winners and finalists. Zoom calls and emails will help us learn more about you as a writer and your career aspirations, helping us to best place you, and your work, within the industry.
- On top of that, our 1hr and ½-hr Grand Prize Winners will be mentored by Sean Charles who works in Development and Production at AMC. His insight will be invaluable to helping you grow as a writer.
- Plus, we have two of the best Casting Agents in the business ready to give feedback to our Grand Prize Winners on their characters, and how to write for TV - John Papsidera (Yellowstone, Oppenheimer), and Henry Russell Bergstein (Black Mirror, Succession).
HOW DO WE GET YOUR SCRIPT OUT THERE?Through the calls with our writers, we can carefully pair your script with the most suited people and companies on our 300+ Industry Roster that work in TV. This is paramount as sending mass emails to the industry never works because each person has specific parameters for projects that interest them. By carefully curating the screenplays we send out, we maximize our writers’ chances of success.
We are accepting pilot scripts from 5 to 100 pages long! Here are a few of the Judges and Production Companies on our Roster that will read this year’s best scripts:JUDGESSean Charles - Development & Production at AMC.
